JOIN OUR TEAM Law Students & New Attorneys: We know the job market is tough right now, and we know there are many law students interested in entertainment law and intellectual property. We wish we could help all of you. If you are a law student and interested in working with us as a law clerk, please note the following: First, we rarely have paid law clerk positions open. If we do, we might post them at the local law schools' employment offices and we may post them below under "Current Open Positions." When we do have open paid positions, however, we generally first look to hire law clerks that have previously clerked for us as an extern or intern, so often they are never even posted online or through the local law schools' placement offices. Second, we get several requests per week for a meeting with Mr. Bass as an interview for a law clerk position or to get advice or information about the fields of practice that we handle. Many people just want to "get coffee" or come in and talk with Mr. Bass. While we would love to sit down and help everyone that contacts us, It is impossible for us to meet with everyone. We are extremely busy and our time is very limited. There is just not enough time. However, Mr. Bass often speaks at various SELA and other school group events. This way everyone that has a question can get it answered. Therefore, as an alternative to a personal meeting, we suggest this course. Please contact Mr. Bass directly if you would like to schedule him as an event speaker. If you wish to be considered for an unpaid externship for credit or other independent study or unpaid internship, send a resume with cover letter and references by email to Mr. Bass at Leon @ Leonbass.com (remove spaces in email address--they are there for spam avoidance). Finally, in addition, you might consider applying for the summer associate program at Chester Willcox and Saxbe. You will need to apply for this program through your law school's OCI program. |

College and High School Students: We generally are not able to employ or offer internships to college students, high school students or other non-law students. We will, however, consider externships for those in law related programs, like legal assistant programs or paralegal programs.
